Google announces expansion of Bakery Square campus

Google is growing in Bakery Square! The company announced plans to expand their footprint in Bakery Square by adding three new floors in 2021. They will be taking the first floor to bring their lobby down to the street level and closer to the surrounding communities.

This plan is a part of a larger $7 billion investment by the company in Google offices and data centers across the nation. This plan also includes the creation of 10,000 new full-time jobs in the United States.

“Pennsylvania is proud to be one of the places Google has called home for the past decade, and we look forward to seeing its continued growth in Pittsburgh,” said Gov. Tom Wolf.
